SENDIASS Annual Report 2022-23

Strategic Funding

The Service’s work is based around the four core activities of; Commissioning, Governance and Management Arrangements, Strategic Function, Operational functions and Professional Development and Training for Staff.  SENDIASS activity in terms of outcomes and impact on parents, children and young people is measured through case studies, training evaluations, accessibility and feedback from individuals, feedback via the website and complaints.  Impact on children and young people includes feeling listened to, understanding other’s points of view and supporting others to understand what is important to them.

There has been one complaint sent directly to SENDIASS during this period. This complaint was managed in house and resolved quickly.

DFE Visit

During this period, the Service was visited by representatives from the Department for Education. This provided an opportunity to discuss how the service operates, but also had a focus on the work we do around mediation and appeal. The visit was successful, and feedback was provided stating ‘On behalf of us all, I wanted to say thank you again for the great visit today. We all really enjoyed it and it’s certainly got my brain whirring with thoughts and ideas.’
